Annual Report 2017

Annual Report 2017

January 14, 2018

Here is a summary of Namaste Foundation’s activity for 2017. Our aim is to support exceptional nonprofits in service to a more peaceful, just, and regenerative world.

A few of our favorite gifts this year include those to Agrarian Trust, a pioneering organization supporting land access for next generation farmers, We Collective, an experimental approach to social news, and Happen Films, regenerative storytellers developing a new feature-length documentary called “Living The Change”

We also made a series of gifts dedicated to the People’s Climate March, immigrants’ rights, criminal justice reform, and women-led independent media. In total, the Namaste Foundation supported 77 nonprofit groups with $494,535 in gifts throughout 2017.

See a full list of projects and other information in our 2017 Annual Report. We hope you are inspired by the courageous work being done by these organizations and add your support through gifts, volunteering, and connections.

We’re also excited to share that we’ve made a new $1 million NZD ($700k USD) gift into the Namaste Foundation through a partnership with The Gift Trust, a leading donor-advised fund in Aotearoa New Zealand.

This new gift will enable us to deepen support for nonprofits and social enterprises based in New Zealand, where we’ll be focusing more in 2018.

We’re continuously humbled and inspired by this work. Looking forward to the year ahead!

In Service,
The Namaste Team
