Inspired @ Wisdom 2.0

Inspired @ Wisdom 2.0

February 18, 2014

I returned home from the Wisdom 2.0 conference filled with hope and inspiration. Amazing event.

You can watch the talks online here.

Some highlights / notes:

  • Arianna Huffington gave a really touching speech. "Why are we more focused on our resumes than our eulogies?" Loved the call to action: it's time for the tech community to apply what we've learned to help the world Thrive.

  • Tony Hsieh shared recent updates and his vision for the Downtown Project. "Collisions, Co-learning, and Connectedness". Las Vegas as the surprising role model for urban living and community focus.

  • Jon Kabat-Zinn and Eckhart Tolle offered teachings on mindfulness and presence. Refreshing to witness the open conversation about meditation inside leading companies like Google and Medium.

  • Justin Rosenstein led a brilliant workshop on finding purpose at the intersection of what "gets you excited" and "helps humanity thrive". Can't wait to see what emerges with OneProject.

…and lots more. Check it out:
